About

A creative space to learn using English, Socrates Academy was designed and co-founded by our head teacher, a University of California, Berkeley graduate living in Hiroshima, Japan. 

His Interdisciplinary Studies research focused on Society, Technology, and Culture. He has helped researchers publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed academic journals such as Acta Astonautica and CERN IdeaSquare Journal of Experimental Innovation (CIJ), with comprehensive editing and proofreading support. 

In addition to teaching at Socrates Academy, he has taught as an adjunct part-time lecturer for Yasuda Women's University, remotely for Ritsumeikan University, and has taught Practical Dental English for Hiroshima University. He has also created curriculum for short intensive English courses for private elementary, junior, and senior high schools throughout Japan.

His interests include philosophy, sociology, literature, photography, chess, and bonsai.
